Palau-saverdera (Girona)
Palau-saverdera is a village of about 1,500 inhabitants of the region of Alt Empordà, which is located at the foot of the southern sierra of Verdera (78 m. Above sea level) slope. The village borders Roses, the Port de la Selva, La Selva de Mar, Pau and Castelló d’Empúries. The municipality has an area of 1,642 hectares divided between the city four developments (Mas Isaach, Bellavista, Balcony Empordà Mas Bohera) and various farmhouses scattered extending across the plain.
Much of the village is located within the natural park of Cap de Creus and Aiguamolls. In addition, there are various protected by the Xarxa Natura 2000 natural areas. The village has experienced significant growth over recent years as a result of the proliferation of second homes and the drip of people who choose this city to live throughout the year.
This population growth has been accompanied by a good network of public services that Palau-saverdera placed flush with populations with more people.
